You can do search engine optimization day and night and still not get enough web traffic to make a profit. There are several things you can try to increase traffic immediately. I would suggest you try some different techniques and see how they work out.

Using Pop-Unders to Increase Traffic

One method that has helped dramatically increased hits and traffic on some of my sites are “pop unders”. Pop unders open underneith the browser widow. So after surfing a potental vister is presented with a window to your site. It is important that you use a pop-under company that will make sure your pop-ups are relevent to your web site.

WARNING: Do not use any service that uses POP-UPs, they are normally closed by anoid visitors before and are a waste of money - period.

Using WebRings to Increase Traffic

Web rings are groups of related web sites, linked together. All Webrings have a method to present you with links to lead you to other sites which contain related information. One of the reasons I consider them a good thing in some cases is that the people who enter your site through the ring are interested in the topic, and more likely to be a sale and not just a quick visit. Not all web sites are good candidates for a web ring, but many are and there are a great number covering most any topic.

Most importantly, they allow you to target visitors that would be interested in your web site. Most Web Rings are a free service and very easy to set up. Give one a try, if you don’t like it just cancel your account. However, my motto is any free traffic to my site is good traffic.
